Belarusian Telegram Channel Reported About the Arrest of the Administrator

OREANDA-NEWS. Telegram channel "Belarus Golovnogo Mozga" ("Беларусь головного мозга"), which is popular in Belarus, specializing in socio-political topics, reported that its administrator and author, Igor Losik, had been detained and his apartment had been searched.
"Nine people came to one of our administrators, Igor Losik, with a search. They showed a search warrant signed by the prosecutor... Igor Losik is detained," the message reports.
As noted in the channel, Losik was detained in a criminal case, but it is not specified which one. It is also reported that the equipment has been confiscated. There are 168 thousand users subscribed to Telegram and over 173 thousand on Twitter.
Thursday, Interior Minister Yuri Karayev said that illegal street actions, recently held in Belarus in the form of "chains of solidarity," are controlled through Telegram channels and live broadcasts of "Radio Svoboda" from the places of events.
Previously, during the period of collecting signatures in support of the nomination of candidates for the presidential elections scheduled for August 9, in different cities of Belarus there were queues of people supporting alternative candidates for the highest state post at election pickets.
