OREANDA-NEWS. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on the shelling by the Armenian side last night and Monday morning of a number of areas around Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, during October 18 and on the night of October 19, hostilities continued in the Agdere-Agdam and Fizuli-Hadrut-Jebrail directions, as well as along the Araks River.

The report tells that during the night, the Armenian armed forces fired from mortars and artillery in the Goranboy, Terter and Aghdam regions. Since this morning, the territory of Agjabedi region is also being shelled.

According to the announcement of Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, throughout Sunday and on Monday night, hostilities continued in the Agdere-Aghdam and Fizuli-Hadrut-Jebrail directions, as well as along the Araks River. Their message says that the enemy fired at the defensive positions of the Azerbaijani army units from small arms, mortars and cannons.

The Defense Ministry also reported on some losses of the opposition's military equipment. In particular, they talk about the destruction of the military equipment of the Armenian forces in battles in various directions, including two T-72 tanks, two BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems. "At present, the Azerbaijani army controls the operational situation along the entire length of the front," the report of the ministry said.
