OREANDA-NEWS  AvtoVAZ does not supply cars to Kazakhstan that were produced after the first quarter of this year, TASS writes with reference to the company.

Earlier, Vedomosti reported that Lada prices in Kazakhstan were lower than Russian ones. "Lada cars, which are now sold in Kazakhstan by local dealers, were produced and delivered by Avtovaz to the republic in the first quarter of this year. These cars were produced at a different exchange rate and at a different, lower cost of automotive components," explained the auto giant, who announced the termination of deliveries.

The company added that AvtoVAZ does not affect the pricing policy of Kazakhstani dealers, who set the cost themselves. Cars produced by the company after the first quarter are not sold in Kazakhstan, AvtoVAZ assured.

The situation with the supply of components from abroad for the production of Lada cars remains difficult, while there is a tendency to worsen, Maxim Sokolov, president of AvtoVAZ, said earlier.
