Austria has increased the share of Russian gas in imports

OREANDA-NEWS The share of gas from the Russian Federation in Austria's imports in December rose to 71% from 41% in November, according to a website with thematic infographics prepared by the Austrian national ministry for climate protection, ecology, energy, transport, innovation and technology.
According to the infographic, the share of gas supplies from Russia in imports in December amounted to 71%, imports from "other sources" - 29%. In October, this ratio was 23% and 77%, respectively. A year ago in February, respectively - 79% and 21%. The infographic, according to the ministry, is based on data reports for the E-Control regulator. At the end of last year, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and his government ministers repeatedly stated that Russian gas supplies to the republic had been reduced to "approximately 20 percent."
As RIA Novosti was told in the Austrian Ministry of Energy, the figures are taken from the reports of the national regulator E-Control, on the basis of which the agency posts infographics on the website energie.gv.at.
