OREANDA-NEWS. At least four people were wounded in an explosion in a residential building in the Belgian city of Liege. The cause of the incident is being investigated. This was reported by the news edition La Libre Belgique on December 2.

Assistance is provided to the injured people on the spot. It is noted that the explosion was of such force that part of the three-storeyed building collapsed.

According to the head of the rescue group, one person is under the rubble, he is conscious. Rescuers are trying to free him. “At present, searches for three victims are underway,” the interlocutor of La Libre Belgique said. Other people may be under the rubble, he added.

It is known that residents of neighbouring houses have been evacuated. The territory within a radius of 100 meters was cordoned.
