President of Ukraine had a meeting with Ambassadors of G7 and the European Union
OREANDA-NEWS. President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Ambassadors of G7 and the European Union.
The President confirmed that Ukraine remained a committed supporter of political-diplomatic settlement of the situation in Donbas. He noted that the main efforts must be focused on ensuring the fulfillment of the security component of the Minsk agreements by Russia.
“The pressure of sanctions on Russia demonstrates its efficiency and must be preserved until full restoration of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the Head of State noted.
Petro Poroshenko underlined the importance of preserving the policy of non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea, where the human rights situation is becoming worse every day, including punitive Soviet-style medicine.
The Head of State called for the non-recognition of legitimacy of parliamentary elections in Russia, which Moscow is trying to conduct in the occupied Crimea and Sevastopol – temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
The parties discussed prompt liberation of hostages and political prisoners illegally detained in Russia and the occupied territories.
The President informed the ambassadors on the progress of Ukraine in reforms, particularly struggle against corruption.
