PM Discussed with Local Authorities from Anenii Noi
OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Pavel Filip and local public authorities of the Anenii Noi district today discussed the reforms started in the last six months, steps made to unlock the foreign financing, as well as current problems and future priorities.
As for the reforms, the Prime Minister referred to the reorganization of bodies with control duties and setting a moratorium on state controls, cutting the number of permissive acts for economic agents, as well as other measures to back the entrepreneurship.
In particular, the Prime Minister touched upon the starting of the pension system reform. Pavel Filip specified that a concept had been signed, due to transform the pension system into a fair and sustainable one, meant to provide a decent living for elderly people. “It is important that we provide the citizens with sufficient incomes, which are set correctly. We have launched the reformation of the pension system and demanded that the colleagues speed up this process, so that we could fully implement it starting from 1 January 2017,” the Prime Minister said.
At the same time, Filip said that the government’s goal was to provide the citizens with a decent living, and the living standards should meet European standards. In the context, the Prime Minister informed that today he launched an appeal to the consolidation of all political forces and the entire society to carry out Moldova’s European project.
“I appealed to all political forces, as well as to citizens to synchronize, strengthen efforts in the European integration project. This way is the best recipe for Moldova’s development. We must improve the citizens’ living standards to the level of the ones from the EU member states,” Pavel Filip also said.
The dialogue was interactive and the questions put to the prime minister referred to the work of the primary and secondary education institutions, pressing need to repair damaged road segments, as well as the necessity of measures to improve the ecological situation in some settlements. At the same time, the local public authorities asked for government’s support to implement European Union’s policies and directives locally and develop capacities of accessing international funds. The Prime Minister said that he would demand that cabinet decision-takers make a detailed analysis on each issue separately, in order to identify optimum solutions to settle them.
