OREANDA-NEWS. Secretary to the President, Smt. Omita Paul today (July 22, 2016) inaugurated a Garden Waste Management Unit (GWMU) in the President’s Estate as part of initiatives to advance the Swachh Bharat Mission and convert President’s Estate into a Smart Township. The GWMU system will process green waste such as fallen leaves, pruned plant material, cut grass and litter into organic compost and fuel sticks which provide smokeless energy.
