OREANDA-NEWS. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Assistant UN Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, El Ghassim Wane. The meeting was also attended by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Zahir Tanin.

During the talks, apart from discussing the significance the Republic of Serbia attaches to UNMIK's operation in Kosovo, in unreduced scope and with an unchanged mandate, special attention was also given to the Republic of Serbia's engagement in UN-mandated peace operations and Serbia's concrete contribution to maintaining international peace and security.
