OREANDA-NEWS  Armenia, along with the United States and France, became the largest importer of Indian defense products in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, The Times of India reports.

According to the newspaper, the country has concluded deals on the import of missiles and missile systems, artillery pieces, radars, body armor and night vision devices. In addition, Armenia imported a lot of ammunition and shells from India, and was one of the first to buy Akash air defense missiles of Indian design.

Earlier, the Director General of the Institute of Defense Research and Analysis from India, Sudha, announced the close military cooperation between Armenia and India. As an example, he cited the purchase of Pinaka multi-barrel missile launchers, Swathi radar systems, as well as the development of start-ups in the field of military technology.
