OREANDA-NEWS  Burkina Faso wants to join the BRICS interstate association in order to combat the dominance of the dollar and the euro on the world stage. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Apollinaire Joachim Kjelem de Tambela, reports TASS.

"At a meeting with Russian Ambassador to the country Igor Martynov, Prime Minister Tambela expressed Burkina Faso's desire to join the BRICS in order to fight the dominance of the dollar and the euro and achieve fairer trade relations on the world stage," the agency reports.

On September 2, Bloomberg reported, citing sources, about Turkey's official application to join the BRICS. According to them, the administration of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan proceeded from the "need for cooperation with developing countries."

On September 14, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that more than 20 leaders of the states had already confirmed their participation in the BRICS summit, which will be held in Kazan on October 22-24. He added that this list continues to expand.
