OREANDA-NEWS. An explosion occurred in an apartment in a residential building on Prokhodchikov Street in Moscow, after which a fire started.

This was reported by TASS news agency with reference to a source in emergency services of Russian capital. “On Prokhodchikov Street, building 3, there was a fire in the apartment due to an explosion. Open burning from the windows is observed. The fire area is 70 square meters,” journalists’ interlocutor clarified. According to him, four apartments are on fire, five people were evacuated from the building. At least four people are injured.

“According to preliminary data, in the apartment on the third floor in a five-storey building on Prokhodchikov Street, a gas-air mixture could detonate,” a source of Interfax agency said.

A source in emergency services also told reporters of TASS that the movement of vehicles along Prokhodchikov Street is difficult.
