Swimming in the old waters is dangerous for health. But because of the heat, there are more and more people who want to swim.

As a result, it turned out that about 86% of British rivers do not meet the minimum European standards.

Last year, the Environmental Protection Agency recorded pesticides, toxic heavy metals and other pollutants in half of the rivers.

Currently, the agency insists that companies that pollute water resources pay fines. For the most part, these companies pay for pollution of water bodies with contributions to charity. Therefore, they go unpunished and continue to pollute the rivers.
