OREANDA-NEWS An M88 Hercules tracked recovery vehicle of the US Army contingent that drowned in Lithuania was able to be pulled out of a swamp. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Dovila Shakalene in an interview with LRT.

"At 4:30 a.m., the operation was completed, and the armored vehicle was pulled out using two similar vehicles and a bulldozer," Shakalene said, noting that investigators from the United States and the Lithuanian military police were working on the site.

There was no information about the missing soldiers along with the armored personnel carrier. "There is no information about the soldiers, but we have a strict agreement that the American side will be the first to report this," Shakalene added.

On March 26, it became known about the disappearance of four American military personnel and a tracked vehicle in Lithuania. On March 27, the car of the missing soldiers from the United States was found in a pond at the training ground, it was flooded.
