OREANDA-NEWS. At least 200 Japanese officials and representatives of the country's business community will take part in the Russian-Japanese business dialogue, which will be held on September 5 as part of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. This was announced on Tuesday in a conversation with a Russian media correspondent by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Hiroshige Seko.
"A round table is planned to be held within the framework of the forum, in which representatives of business circles of Japan and Russia will take part. Among them: the development of routes along the Arctic Ocean, which is closely connected with the Arctic LNG-2 project, as well as the Trans-Siberian Railway, which is considered to promote pilot transport between Japan and Europe. About 200 people will take part in the round table, as well as last year, from the Japanese side agile", he said.
The Japanese delegation to the forum is expected to be led by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. On September 5, he should take part in the EEF plenary meeting, and he also has a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He also said that the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok over the years of its holding has become a platform for monitoring the development of Japanese-Russian economic relations.
The basis for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries was the eight-point plan proposed by the Prime Minister of Japan in May 2016. The document implies the strengthening of relations in the field of energy, small and medium-sized businesses, industrialization of the Far East, expansion of the export base. It also includes a proposal to strengthen cooperation in the field of advanced technologies, including nuclear energy, and in the field of humanitarian exchanges.
