OREANDA-NEWS A powerful earthquake has occurred off the coast of the Philippines. This is reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The tremors were recorded at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, Moscow time. Their magnitude was 7.1. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 148 kilometers southeast of Zamboanga city on the island of Mindanao with a population of about 500 thousand people. The hearth lay at a depth of 621 kilometers. There is currently no information about casualties and damage.

Earlier in July, it became known that an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was recorded in the Turkish province of Mugla near the city of Dacha with a population of about 22 thousand people. The center of the tremors was located at a depth of 6.97 kilometers.
