U., who participated in the war as part of the Russian troops… By court decision, the man was sentenced to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property under the article "Participation of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic in armed conflicts or military operations on the territory of a foreign state," the message says.

It is noted that this article is usually punishable by imprisonment for a period of 10 to 15 years with confiscation of property. However, in connection with the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan and the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the defendant's sentence was reduced, according to the law on pardon. "The accused has filed an appeal against the verdict of the district court to the Osh Regional Court," the press service said.
