OREANDA-NEWS Georgia hosted a presentation of the socio-political movement "United Neutral Georgia", which opposes the country's European integration, as well as its accession to NATO. This is reported by TASS.
"Today, European integration has been declared a religion in Georgia, which is a crime against the Georgian people. A share of this blame belongs to the authorities. Although NATO does not yet have the status of a religion, the fault of the authorities is that they have established integration into NATO as a constitutional task," said the leader of the movement, Vato Shakarashvili.
He stressed that it is unacceptable to turn integration into the North Atlantic Alliance into a constitutional dogma. According to Shakarashvili, in a year they plan to create a political party from the public movement, which will take part in the parliamentary elections of 2028.
Earlier, deputy of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kadagishvili said that the freezing by the European Union of a grant for the Ministry of Defense of Georgia would not give anything to the army of the republic. He stressed that such decisions of the organization promote not its values, but the double standards used in the political struggle.
