"Drugs were transported from Ukraine to Moldova through the Tudora checkpoint hidden in the engines for pumps," the newspaper reports a statement from the Moldovan prosecutor's office for combating organized crime.

The agency also showed a video of the seizure of physical evidence and a search of suspects. Details about the suspects were not disclosed.

Earlier, Moldovan drivers were detained on suspicion of transporting illegal migrants to Europe through Bulgaria. A gang from Syria and Jordan used Moldovan drivers hired over the Internet. Illegal migrants paid members of the group up to 6 thousand euros per person for illegal transportation to Europe.
