OREANDA-NEWS. About 1.5 million Ukrainian families that according to the results of the heating season have saved resource granted as a housing subsidy for gas and electricity, which is used only for heating of homes, will in the near future receive gratuity from the Government. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to him, in the fall of 2016 the Government promised the Ukrainians monetary assistance for the smart energy consumption on the outcomes of the heating period.

«The Government has fulfilled its promise. Those households which demonstrated energy savings will shortly receive a reward for energy efficiency - up to UAH 700 in cash. This project is being implemented in Ukraine for the first time and will be the impetus for a more extended monetization, which is included in the top priority list of the Government», said Volodymyr Groysman.
