OREANDA-NEWS. President Petro Poroshenko held negotiations with Managing Director of the Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the opportunity of expanding the investment cooperation between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.

«We welcome the participation of Saudi public and private capital in the implementation of attractive and mutually beneficial projects on the territory of Ukraine, in particular in such areas as aircraft engineering, agriculture, shipbuilding, defense industry, energy, tourism and recreation infrastructure, as well as in the process of privatization in our country,» Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

The President of Ukraine informed the Saudi party on the progress of reforms in Ukraine and the measures aimed at improving the business climate and increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine. He also invited Saudi companies to take part in privatization in Ukraine.
