OREANDA-NEWS In July a professional skill competition among truck drivers working in the company's subdivisions and organizations will take place at KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation).

The KAMAZ workers engaged in cargo transportation and who have C-category driver licenses will participate in the event. The KAMAZ Cup competition has been held for more than a year to raise heavy-duty truck driving skills, prove the importance of road traffic safety and promote a driver's profession.

The competition consists of one theoretical and three practical stages. At the first stage the drivers will show their knowledge of road traffic and safety rules. At the following stages the contestants will have to manoeuver in a KAMAZ truck based on Chassis-65115. Practical tasks are based on such exercises as slalom, backing into a perpendicular park, stop line, during which skills of truck driving and ahead and back run will be assessed.

At all stages of the contest time and correctness of the task implementation are taken into account, demerit points will be charged for mistakes. And a definite number of participants with the best performance are allowed to each subsequent stage. As a result, only three drivers will perform the last practical task and compete for three prize places.

The results of the contest will be summed up by the jury headed by the arbiter. The winners will be determined in the individual event: there will be first, second and thrid places. Besides, the Best Young Driver will be selected among participants aged under 25. All winners of the professional skill competition will received prizes.
