OREANDA-NEWS. The pension reform affects both current and future retirees and will be carried out without raising a retirement age, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote on his Facebook page.

Volodymyr Groysman expressed hope that lawmakers will support the pension reform, which is currently adopted in the first reading and stipulates for increasing pensions for 9 million citizens from October 1.

«The draft law on pension reform was supported in the first reading by 282 lawmakers, representatives of the majority of parliamentary groups and factions, as well as some independent MPs. I express gratitude to all who voted for the bill, because only by demonstrating consolidated efforts we will be able to restore justice to millions of our pensioners. Then I promised to complete the bill on pension reform along with all concerned parties. Hence, we stand ready for any constructive proposals.However, the Government has some adamant principles that will not be waived under any circumstances.The said reform will be put into practice without increase the retirement age. Starting already from October, we will increase pensions for 9 million retirees and abolish the dishonest pension tax for working pensioners. In the future pensions will be recalculated automatically», the Prime Minister noted.

Apart from that, Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that the Government will deprive populists of the possibility of manipulation and speculation on the topic of pensions.
