OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman urges all political actors in the country to put aside ambitions as well as political flags and to take one flag - a state one, a flag of reform and transformations which will ensure annual economic growth of 4-5% in the medium term. This was announced by Prime Minister in his speech at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dedicated to the Government’s yearly activities.

In the course of his speech Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that one of topmost objective for the new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had been to stop the crisis as well as to stabilize the national economy.

«We were anticipated that we would not be able to ensure the economic growth, failed to pass the heating season as well as would not have any credits left in September. Time has proven that we spared no efforts to prevent the economic collapse as well as to trigger economic growth. In 2016 the Government had to stabilize the situation and to accelerate the economic growth by 4.7% in the 4th quarter of 2016 through adoption of unpopular actions and decisions,» accentuated the Head of Government.

He reminded that starting January 1 Ukrainians had received a twofold increase in the minimum wage which was an initial step towards a fair job evaluation and moreover, a program of free medicine triggered on April 1 which was designed to reduce mortality.
