OREANDA-NEWS Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated Donald Trump on his election for president of the United States and wished him and the American people well-being and prosperity.

“I extremely highly appreciate the achieved level of friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries. I sincerely believe that during your administration Bulgaria and the US will continue to build upon what is already achieved,” notes in his congratulatory address Borissov, thereby confirming that the Bulgarian government will continue to put efforts into unfolding the full potential of the bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister mentioned the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and the US in field of defence, combatting terrorism and organized crime in the dramatically changed security environment on a global scale. He expressed his gratefulness for the received support in the modernization of the Bulgarian armed forces.

“I am also convinced that we can do much more to increase the presence of the American business in Bulgaria. I hope for progress in the dialogue for the falling of visa limitations for the US, which will boost the possibilities for direct links among the citizens of the two countries,” pointed out Boyko Borissov.
