OREANDA-NEWS. During the visit to the Republic of Kenya Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya held December 1, 2016, the first ever Ukraine–Kenya bilateral political consultations.

Together with the Acting Minister – Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya Amb. Monica Juma they discussed a wide range of issues of Ukraine–Kenya political cooperation both bilaterally and within international organizations.

The Kenyan Side has once again confirmed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

During the consultations the Deputy Ministers of the two countries also exchanged views on the situation in the East Africa region.

Following the talks both sides have identified priority areas for further bilateral cooperation, development of political dialogue, strengthening trade and economic relations, intersectoral cooperation, enhancement of the cooperation in the sphere of education and science, as well as development of the respective legal framework.
