OREANDA-NEWS President Erdogan paid a visit to Kazakhstan between 8-10 September 2017 for an official bilateral visit and to attend Science and Technology Summit of OIC. Foreign Minister Cavusoglu accompanied President Erdogan during his visit.

On 8 September 2017 Minister Cavusoglu evaluated bilateral and regional issues with Foreign Minister Abdrakhmanov of Kazakhstan before the arrival of President Erdoğan.

President Erdogan arrived in Astana in the evening of the same day and was welcomed with an official ceremony by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana on 9 September 2017.

Two Presidents discussed bilateral cooperation and regional issues. Delegations of the two countries continued the deliberations on issues on the common agenda.

President Erdogan held bilateral talks with his counterparts from Pakistan and Iran.

President Erdogan also visited Hazrat Sultan Mosque and EXPO 2017 Astana and Turkey's stand.
