OREANDA-NEWS. Мontenegro will host the next meeting of the heads of government of the Western Balkans in the first half of October, the prime ministers agreed at a meeting in Brussels tonight, organised by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the Commission Federica Mogherini.


After the meeting, Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković said that he expressed at the bilateral meeting with Mogherini a strong commitment of Montenegro to complete negotiations with the European Union in the next four to five years and thus realise our second foreign policy priority.

He pointed out that the European integration has no alternative for Montenegro and that there is no hidden agenda. This is, as he said, a clear national interest.

The meeting with other prime ministers confirmed that the issue of stability is a key for the European perspective of the countries wishing to join the European Union.
