OREANDA-NEWS  Volkswagen Group Rus has announced the recall of 4320 Volkswagen Tiguan cars sold from 2017 to 2018.

The reason for the recall of Volkswagen Tiguan with aesthetic illumination of the panoramic lifting and sliding glass hatch (code: 3fj) of a certain period of release is the penetration of moisture into the led module of aesthetic illumination. As a result, there may be a short circuit in the led module, followed by heat, the press service of Rosstandart.

Authorized representatives of Volkswagen Group Rus manufacturers will inform the owners of the Volkswagen Tiguan cars covered by the review by sending letters and/or by phone about the need to provide the vehicle to the nearest dealership for repair work. Volkswagen Tiguan cars will be equipped with two adapter cables (one on the driver's side and one on the front passenger's side) with a built-in fuse between the power supply area and the led module for aesthetic illumination of the panoramic sliding glass sunroof.

All works will be carried out free of charge for the owners.

As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", the majority of the crossover Volkswagen Tiguan rose in price, and now the car with a set of options OffRoad is available for 1 million 769 thousand rubles. The maximum equipped version of Sportline costs 2 million 519 thousand rubles. The starting equipment of Trendline remained without price changes, and it can be purchased for 1 million 399 thousand rubles or 1 million 549 thousand rubles, depending on the type of gearbox.

In the first 11 months of 2018, sales of Volkswagen Tiguan crossover in Russia increased by 23% and amounted to 29928 cars. As a result, he rose to fourth place in the ranking of the best-selling SUV models in the Russian market, analysts say the Agency "AUTOSTAT".

Earlier, the company "Volkswagen Group Rus" announced the recall of 3148 cars Volkswagen Tiguan, Polo Sedan and Skoda Rapid, implemented in 2018. The reason for the recall was the detected malfunction of the filling plant, as a result of which the coolant was refilled with an inappropriate concentration. In rare cases, this can cause the coolant to freeze at a negative temperature in the winter. The vehicles will be checked and, if necessary, the coolant will be replaced.
