Volkswagen has banned Chinese factories from supplying cars to Russia. The German edition of Handelsblatt claims that Volkswagen is trying to counteract the export of its cars from China. It is impossible to influence the supply of used cars, but new Chinese-built Volkswagen cars are imported into our country in the same ways. To combat unwanted exports to Russia, Volkswagen has generated a system of blacklists.

A Volkswagen representative in Beijing confirmed that there is a "blacklist", which includes Chinese wholesalers of cars seen in ties with Russia. These companies will no longer be able to purchase cars directly from Chinese joint ventures. However, the possibilities of Volkswagen's influence are limited, because the partners are Chinese concerns with state participation — FAW and SAIC.
