OREANDA-NEWS   Volkswagen and Audi will recall 261 thousand cars due to the risks of possible fuel leakage and subsequent fire. This is reported by the publication "Auto News of the day".

The vehicles that have been recalled may have a defective fuel pump seal installed, the message says. If the tightness of this seal is broken, it threatens to lead to fuel entering the vapor capture system and contamination of the carbon filter. In the most unfavorable scenario, a fire may occur. Also, these machines have a risk of problems with the gas pump.

The recall campaign includes Audi A3 produced in 2015-2020, Volkswagen Jetta GLI (2019-2020), Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen GP 2018, Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen A7 (2018-2019). It also includes Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen (2015-2017), Volkswagen Golf GTI (2015-2020) and Volkswagen Golf (2015-2020).

Dealers will have to check the fuel pump seal of the listed cars and replace it if necessary.

Earlier it became known that 55 thousand cars of the Chinese manufacturer Haval will be recalled in Russia for the purpose of refinement. The reason was the lack of an emergency call device. The recall affected cars of the Haval F7, F7x, Jolion and Dargo models produced from July 2022 to June 2023. The manufacturer promised to solve the problem for free.
