OREANDA-NEWS. The road section of the bridge across the Kerch Strait was closed for the second time in a day due to bad weather, as the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Crimea said.

The first time the bridge was closed to cars at six in the morning. At about 8:30, traffic in the direction of the Kuban was partially restored, in the direction of the Crimea it remained closed. An hour later, the bridge was closed again in both directions.

It is reported that work is underway to eliminate the current situation.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the weather in Crimea remains bad: blizzard, fog, ice, wind up to 20-25 meters per second. During the night in the area of the Crimean bridge, the monthly norm of precipitation fell, the snowdrifts grew to almost half a meter. Forecasters warn of the threat of avalanches. Also, in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, they said that they could deploy heating points at the entrance to the Crimean bridge.

Due to the bad weather conditions, motorists are asked not to drive along the Tavrida highway, through the Angarsk and Grushevsky passes, Mount Ai-Petri, as well as along the roads passing through mountainous forest areas.
