At the same time, the April output figures turned out to be a record for this month in the entire history of the corporation. Global sales of the automaker in April also increased by 4.9% to 800.8 thousand units.

Last year, Toyota, together with its subsidiaries Daihatsu ("Daihatsu") and Hino ("Hino"), took the first place in car sales in the world for the third year in a row, selling 10.48 million cars.
