OREANDA-NEWS. Russian biggest car producer AvtoVAZ has decided to recall 9.3 thousand Lada Xray vehicles. This is stated in a message published on the Rosstandart website.

The reason for the recall of one of the most popular models is called possible problems with the steering. “9311 Lada Xray cars manufactured in the period from January to May 2019 are subject to recall. The reason for the recall of vehicles is possible damage to the weld seam of the shaft of the electromechanical power steering, ”the organization said. Car repairs will be made free of charge.

At the end of October 2020, a large-scale recall campaign affected 90,124 Lada Xray and Vesta models. In vehicles, the fuel line element may have been damaged due to contact with the wire harness clamp.

Since the beginning of 2021, the cost of cars in Russia has grown by 2-5 percent. In particular, prices for Volkswagen cars increased by 2 percent on average, Hyundai added 15-50 thousand rubles, Audi - 2.2 percent. At Mercedes, the price growth was 5 percent, at Volvo - 100 thousand rubles for basic configurations and 5 percent for options. Analysts believe that such dynamics is just the beginning, since not all sellers have yet reflected the fall of the ruble in prices.
