The US Announced the Date of First Manned Space Flight since 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. The first manned space launch in the United States after the completion of the Space Shuttle programme will take place on May 27, 2020.
This was announced by the Administrator of the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Jim Bridenstine. “On May 27, NASA will once again launch American astronauts on American rockets from American soil! With our SpaceX partners, Astro Doug and AstroBehnken will launch to the Space Station on the CrewDragon spacecraft atop a Falcon 9 rocket,” he wrote on Twitter.
The last time the United States delivered its astronauts into orbit in 2011. On July 8, 2011, the last launch of the shuttle Atlantis with a crew reduced to four astronauts took place. Since then, the Americans used the Russian spacecrafts Soyuz.
