OREANDA-NEWS The aircraft of the Russian airline Azimut damaged the landing gear during an emergency landing in Moscow due to a hydraulic system failure. The details were shared by the Telegram channel Aviatorschina.

An emergency situation occurred on October 16 with the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100), which was en route from Mineralnye Vody to Ivanovo. At an altitude of about 10,000 meters, the crew informed dispatchers about a low level of fluid in the hydraulic system. Due to a malfunction, the aircraft commander decided to board at Vnukovo.

Although the pilots did not send distress and urgency signals, an alarm with the code "blue" was announced at the airport. Sparks flew from under the plane upon landing. On post-flight inspection, it turned out that the liner had a leak of hydrofluidic fluid and it wiped a hole in the landing gear flap.

"The fact is that when the fluid level in the hydraulic system was low, the chassis was released, but there was not enough pressure to clean the chassis flaps," the authors of the publication explained. Nevertheless, none of the 98 passengers and four crew members were injured.

The airliner was temporarily suspended from flights, and the participants of the flight were taken to Ivanovo on a reserve aircraft. The Federal Air Transport Agency is investigating the incident.

Earlier in Moscow, Utair passengers spent more than an hour waiting for a flight between the two airports of the city. Their plane was supposed to land in Vnukovo, but because of the fog it landed in Domodedovo.
