OREANDA-NEWS  In 2024, passenger car sales in Russia will grow by a third, to 1.4 million units. This is the basic scenario drawn up by experts from the Romir research holding and the Oks Labs consulting company. Then the growth rate will begin to fall until 2028.

In addition to the basic one, optimistic and pessimistic scenarios have been prepared. The first predicts that sales of passenger cars in 2024 will grow by 42 percent, to 1.52 million units, and the second — by only four percent, to 1.12 million.

The baseline scenario states that sales of passenger cars in 2024 will grow by 42 percent, to 1.52 million units. In 2025, the pace will slow down by half, and sales will amount to 1.63 million cars. This market will grow by 6 percent in 2026, by 3.5 percent in 2027, and by only one percent in 2028. Such an outcome awaits the market if 96 billion rubles allocated for preferential car loans and leasing programs are fully spent.
