OREANDA-NEWS  The first dealership that will specialize in Lada car sales in the UAE may open next year. The possible timing of the appearance in the Middle East of a trading platform for the distribution of Russian cars was revealed by the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov. His words are quoted by TASS.

Before opening a dealership, it will be necessary to complete the car safety certification process for further deliveries to the UAE. The concern hopes to implement this procedure by the end of 2024. "Next year will be devoted directly to the re—equipment and opening of an appropriate dealership," Sokolov explained.

He added that the Middle Eastern side had purchased the entire product line from the concern for testing. Against this background, Sokolov expressed hope that Lada cars will be presented in the UAE "quite widely".

Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ said that the owner of the center in the UAE, where Lada cars are planned to be put up for sale, personally came to the plant in Tolyatti. The main purpose of his visit was to sign a dealer agreement. For the full-fledged entry of Russian products into the UAE market, certificates will need to be changed. This is due to the fact that over the past few years, electronics, control units and security systems have changed throughout the line.
