The newspaper Izvestia reports on the most popular foreign cars among citizens with reference to the data of the service for buying and selling cars "SberAuto".

The top 5 most popular models of foreign cars also included Hyundai Creta and Volkswagen Polo. Other popular foreign-made vehicles among Russians turned out to be Kia Sportage, BMW 3, Hyundai Solaris, Volkswagen Tiguan and Renault Duster, experts summarized.

Among the important factors when choosing a car, analysts attributed the total mileage of the car (most often they chose cars with a mileage of no more than 160 thousand kilometers), the number of previous owners (up to three years) and the age of the vehicle (no more than 11 years). The median value of cars purchased in 2023 was 1.1 million rubles.

Earlier, Autostat-Info analysts included Chery, Geely and Lifan cars in the list of the most popular Chinese used cars in Russia. Haval and Great Wall are also among the top five in this indicator. By the end of January 2024, the most popular Chinese model was the Chery Tiggo (T11).
