OREANDA-NEWS. The freighter Xin Guang Hua arrived at the American port of Long Beach, the spacecraft mobile maritime platform Odyssey was loaded onto it. This follows from the Vesselfinder portal data, which allows tracking ship movements. So, the transportation of a floating spaceport from the United States to Russia has begun.

The Sea Launch complex was created in the early 1990s and consists of the platform Odyssey and the ship Sea Launch Commander. The latter, according to Vesselfinder, remains on the berth.

Preparations for the start of transportation began in October 2019. American and Ukrainian equipment was dismantled from it. In December 2019, the press service of S7 Group, which owns the platform, reported that in 2020 it would be relocated to a port in the village of Slavyansk near Vladivostok.
