OREANDA-NEWS Rossiya Airlines will resume its flight program between Moscow and Havana. The launch date of the flights was revealed on the official website of the carrier.

It is specified that planes from Russia to Cuba will fly once a week on Sundays from October 13. The source also says that tourists will be able to continue their journey around the island and get to Varadero from the Cuban capital, and then return from this popular resort to Moscow. Flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Direct flights between the capitals of Russia and Cuba, suspended during the pandemic, opened in December 2023. Then, for the first time, Russian planes began to fly along this route.

In early summer, Russians flocked to Liberty Island en masse due to lower vacation prices. Popular Cuban hotels have offered domestic tourists discounts of up to 45 percent.
