OREANDA-NEWS From January 2022, the last month before the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, to January 2024, the cost of car maintenance in Russia increased by 72 percent. This is the conclusion reached by the analysts of Kontur.Market", who have studied more than 60 thousand receipts of car repair shops and car shops throughout the country, write Izvestia.
The sample included receipts marked "maintenance", "maintenance", "inspection" or their derivatives. The average price of a technical inspection last month was 1,250 rubles, while the corresponding checks were repulsed by 40 percent less than a year earlier.
Analyst of the business services system "Contour.Market" Daria Zhigalina recalled that at the end of 2021, the general inspection for cars under four years old was canceled, which reduced the total number of checks with these items.
Nevertheless, the increase in the cost of maintenance was also affected by the growth of spare parts and consumables. The analysis took into account both inexpensive items, such as filters and lamps, and expensive parts.
Earlier, Izvestia, citing market participants, reported that in 2023, prices for independent car maintenance services in Russia increased by 10-25 percent. In turn, representatives of 68 regions of the country announced their intention to raise prices this year, which is provided for by the order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
