OREANDA-NEWS  Company wanted to rename the airline Red Wings. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to an unnamed interlocutor close to Rostec (the owner of the airline).

The rebranding of the carrier has been planned for a long time, the source said. The company is practically state-owned, uses domestic aircraft for flights, and needs a clear Russian name, he pointed out.

In the future, according to the agency interlocutor, a new corporate identity of the company will be formed, which will be reflected, among other things, in the form of flight attendants.

In July, the Ural Meridian News agency reported a flight delay at Yekaterinburg Koltsovo airport. The reason was the urgent repair of two Red Wings aircraft at once.

Later it became known that due to problems with the aircraft, the airline's CEO, Yevgeny Solodilin, was fired. Among the problems faced by Red Wings, RBC sources called difficulties with the supply of spare parts for foreign aircraft, among others. In the future, the management structure of the carrier will be changed, the management company will deal with this issue, they added.
