OREANDA-NEWS From May 23, Aeroflot will increase the frequency of flights from Moscow to Istanbul from six to seven flights per day, the airline announced.

Starting from May 23, we will add a new evening flight SU2170/2171 to the schedule, and the frequency of flights will increase to seven flights per day, the company said.

This means that Aeroflot will operate up to 49 flights per week in this direction, which is 17% more than in the summer of 2024.

Aeroflot's passengers can fly to Istanbul from Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports, as well as from Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Makhachkala, and Vladikavkaz, the company said.

The Moscow - Istanbul route has become the most popular in Aeroflot's international route network by the end of 2024. Last year, more than 678,000 passengers were transported in this direction, which exceeded the figures for 2023 by 9%.
