OREANDA-NEWS To obtain a driver's medical certificate, some motorists will have to take tests from March 1. This was recalled by the head of the All-Russian Society of Motorists Valery Soldunov.

Drivers deprived of their rights for driving under the influence of alcohol or refusing medical examination, or deprived of their rights due to a criminal record for a drunken accident or repeated driving under the influence of alcohol, a certificate will be required to return the document after deprivation. Those drivers who have been deprived of their rights for driving into the oncoming lane or re-driving through a red light do not need a certificate to return their rights.

Since March 1, the type of medical certificate itself has been changing. Now it will have a list of doctors. Each doctor will have to sign in the appropriate box and put his seal.

 The fact is that it is necessary to undergo a psychiatrist and a narcologist in psycho- or drug dispensaries at the place of residence. However, with the wholesale sale of certificates and in the absence of appropriate graphs in it, it is impossible to check whether the driver passed these specialists. As a result, the prosecutor's office massively identifies drivers who receive a driver's license despite the fact that they are registered in psycho- or drug dispensaries. The new form will reduce this practice.
