OREANDA-NEWS  In November 2024, sales of new passenger cars decreased by 29 percent compared to October and amounted to 120 thousand units. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In annual terms, sales increased by 11 percent.

It is noted that in November, 14.2 thousand light commercial vehicles were sold, which exceeded the figures of the last month of autumn 2023 by 28 percent. However, compared to October of this year, there is a decrease of 12 percent. In addition, the Russians have cooled down to trucks. In annual terms, the drop is estimated at 25 percent, and if compared with October, then at 31 percent.

In general, in November of this year, sales of new automotive equipment increased by seven percent compared to November last year, but fell by 27 percent compared to October 2024.

Earlier, it was predicted that in 2025 sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia could collapse by 21-30 percent compared to 2024.

It is also known that after the increase in recycling, residents of the Russian Federation sharply lost interest in purchasing new cars. So, from the fourth to the tenth of November, sales of new passenger cars fell by almost a quarter.
