OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to allocate an additional almost 15 billion rubles. for the development of the Superjet New aircraft, in which the maximum number of parts will be produced in Russia. This is stated in the schedule of the ministry in early December, according to information from the SPARK database. At the time of writing, a tender for these works was not announced.

In particular, the ministry is ready to pay 14.867 billion rubles. for research and development work on the SSJ program in the modification with the maximum import substitution of components and systems (code SSJ-NEW-2020). Work must be completed before December 15, 2021. The development of an updated aircraft is part of the state program “Development of the aviation industry for 2013–2025”.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian media confirmed the information on the financing of research work. “The contract will be concluded in December 2019 and will be designed for two years”, the ministry said.
