OREANDA-NEWS About 10 thousand Russians will be able to receive compensation in the amount of up to 600 euros for the delay or cancellation of the flight in 2019.

The amount of compensation is determined by the EU Regulation on Airline Passengers. The document provides for the payment of compensation to passengers who fly to Europe or from Europe, if the flight was delayed for more than three hours or canceled.

Since the beginning of 2019, about 10 thousand Russians have not flown to Europe or from Europe on time. These are the data of the service for the protection of the rights of air passengers AirHelp, reports RIA Novosti.

So, if the flight distance does not exceed one and a half thousand kilometers, compensation in the amount of 250 euros is laid. If the distance is from 1.5 to 3.5 thousand kilometers, you can receive compensation of 400 euros. If the flight was canceled or delayed the flight for more than 3.5 thousand kilometers, then the compensation will be 600 euros.
