OREANDA-NEWS. Chinese consumers are interested in high value-added goods from Russia, including products of small-size shipbuilding, Sergei Inyushin, Russian trade representative in China, said in an interview with a Russian media reporter on Monday. According to him, at present, the trade mission of Russia in China is considering the possibility of presenting Russian yachts in a special administrative region of China - Hong Kong - at the end of this year. "As one of the trends that are emerging now, we can highlight the growing interest on the part of the Chinese consumer in Russian goods with high added value",  said Inyushin. Russian products of small size shipbuilding - pleasure yachts.

According to the trade representative, "despite the high cost and specificity of products", this direction "has great potential". “If we achieve a breakthrough in this area, it will be the opening of another market for Russian producers,” he stressed. “If all of our actions succeed, at the end of the year — November or December — we will hold a specialized event in Hong Kong. His task is to set up a Russian ship there”, said Inyushin.

Inyushin recalled that "Russia and China have been tasked to achieve a trade turnover of $ 200 billion, and this must be done soon". "We have ambitious goals to increase the volume of mutual supplies, including the increase in Russian exports to China, and good prerequisites for achieving them", he concluded.

According to the Main Customs Administration of China, the trade turnover between Russia and China in 2018 increased by 27.1 pp, exceeding $ 107 billion. Imports from China to the Russian Federation increased by 12 % and exceeded $ 47.97 in 12 months billion, exports of Russian goods and services to China grew by 42.7 pp to $ 59.08 billion.
