Russian Tourists will be able to Obtain an Egyptian Visa upon Arrival in the Country
Vaccinated Russians do not need to take a PCR test to enter Egypt, a vaccination certificate is enough. Those who are not vaccinated will need either a PCR test done 72 hours before arrival or a test done at Egyptian airports. In the latter case, the tourist will have to go through quarantine for several hours before receiving the results of the analysis.
On Thursday, the Russian President Vladimir Putin canceled a decree banning flights to Egyptian resorts. Air traffic was interrupted after a Russian plane crashed over the Sinai Peninsula, which killed 224 people. Then the responsibility for the attack claimed one of the terrorist organizations.
In 2018, flights from Russia to Cairo resumed after the Egyptian authorities increased security at the capital's airport. In April 2021, the authorities of Russia and Egypt agreed to resume flights to the Egyptian resorts of Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.
